COMPETE FAIR. FISH SAFE.
Rules & Regulations
CKF follows established kayak bass fishing standards with local trail addendums.
CKF tournament basics
CKF events use catch-photo-release scoring through TourneyX. Competitors are responsible for reviewing the event-specific registration page before every tournament.
CKF trail addendums
- Regular bass events: five-fish limit with an 8-inch minimum, unless the event page states otherwise.
- Pre-fishing: permitted until 4:00 p.m. the day before the tournament unless an event page specifies a different cutoff.
- Identifier: the tournament code must be visible in every submitted photo. It may be written on any suitable identifier.
- Photo criteria: pinching and holding the tail is permitted, but the entire end of the tail must remain visible.
- Event details: eligible waters, times, launch rules and exceptions on the TourneyX event page take precedence.
Safety first
Every angler is responsible for legal water access, required safety equipment, weather awareness and compliance with state and local laws. The tournament director may delay, modify or cancel an event when conditions warrant.
Always read the complete event rules before registering.
